Showerhead Filters
go to deluxe showerheads and arms - go to Sloan's best showerheads - go to super size showerheadsSome studies have shown that: MORE CHLORINE IS ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN DURING THE AVERAGE SHOWER THAN BY DRINKING TWO QUARTS OF WATER.
| According to the manufacturer, this showerhead filter will remove up to 95% of water-borne chlorine.
It will filter up to 4,500 gallons (up to almost 250 seven-minute showers at
2.5 gals./minute if you have good pressure and "average" water quality). With this product we have gotten a number of "thanks" but also
a larger dissatisfaction rate than any other product that we offer.
Please do not order this product if you have low water pressure or very bad water conditions. It attaches directly to your existing 1/2" shower arm (not included) and doesn't lower the height of your current showerhead. A replacement cartridge is also available.
Chlorine acts as a disinfectant, but it also can cause |

Flush the cartridge for about 5 minutes to remove all carbon small particles and now you are ready to enjoy a shower with less chlorine.
WARNINGS/CAUTIONS:
Do not pull on shower filter or use the filter for support.
Do not allow filter to freeze.
Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
This filter cannot get rid of bacteria.
"I have low water pressure, will this shower filter reduce my pressure?"
All water filters reduce pressures and this shower filter definitely will
reduce your pressure (because the filter housing
is 1/2" rather than a 1" whole house filter). Also, a filter like this, in order to work, must
have some resistance. No resistance (loss of pressure) and you have a filter that isn't working.
If your supply pressure is marginal (less than 45psi at the showerhead)
then these showerhead filters are not for you. If you have standard
45 or more psi then you won't have as much of a problem. But please understand
that these filters will restrict and reduce your shower pressure.
You might consider a whole house water
filtration system if you have very dirty water.
"How long can I expect the filters to last?"
The manufacturer says that it will last 3-6 months. It really depends on usage and the quality of your water. We think "ideally"
that the cartridge could last up to 6 months if only one person uses the shower and their water doesn't have a lot of chlorine
in it. We can honestly envision that with high chlorine and/or a number of people using the shower that you might have
to change the cartridge as frequently as every 1-2 months. You might also want to look at the many other shower water filters that we offer.
"I love soft water on my hair and body. Will this filter help soften my water?"
We wish it could; but it won't. To soften water one must remove calcium, etc. and no filter will do that. This is done through
ion exchange which only a water softener can accomplish.
