Air Admittance Valves by STUDOR®

How Studor® Air Admittance Valves Work
When a plumbing fixture is operated and water drains out of the system, negative pressure causes the valve to open, allowing air to enter as needed to equalize the pressure and protect trap seals from siphonage. When the flow stops, gravity closes the valve, preventing the escape of sewer gases back through the valve.

PVC & ABS Air Admittance Valves (AAV's) by Ayrlett
Keep unpleasant odors from entering your home through the drain with an Ayrlett Air Admittance Valve (AAV). These AAV's open by way of a valve that is sensitive to differences in pressure, and is designed to admit air into the drain waste and vent system when negative pressure is present in the system. Once air is admitted, the pressure is equalized, and they then close to prevent gases and foul air from the system to enter the home. The Ayrlett AAV is designed for indoor installation only.

Sure-Vent® Air Admittance Valves by Oatey®
This vacuum sensitive valve allows fresh air into the drain waste and vent system after it has been opened during fixture discharge, then closes to block fumes and gases from entering the home. The Sure-Vent remains closed as long as positive pressure is present inside the vent system, keeping odors at bay. This helpful air admittance valve handles up to 15 psi, will thread into 2" ABS or IPS, and with the included adapter will easily glue into 1-1/2" or 2" ABS or IPS.
