"Do these Ariston water heaters have drain valves?"
No. These units are small enough to disconnect and drain into a sink if desired.
"Can any of the Ariston models be used on the hot side of the plumbing?
My hot water heater takes a minute or two to reach several sinks, wasting time and water. I want to put a small tanked water heater in-line on the hot side."
Yes, any of the Ariston models can be used for that application.
"Do the Ariston heaters have to be hard-wired?"
The 2.5 and 4 gallon models plug into standard 110 volt outlets, while the 8 gallon unit requires hard-wiring.
"The Ariston products specify the recovery rate - 'temp. rise' based on the GPM flow; what do you mean by this?"
Temperature rise is the amount the heater raises the temperature of the incoming water, based on the flow rate shown of that water.
